VAMPIRE KNIGHT
Pokiaľ patríte medzi fanúšikov príbehov o upíroch okorenených riadnou dávkou romantiky, tak ako ja, v tomto príbehu si prídete určite na svoje. Aj keď sa miestami možno pousmejete, rozhodne vás tento príbeh zaujme.
Príbeh sa začína počas snehovej fujavice, počas ktorej ustráchaný detský dievčenský hlások (v anime) rozjíma nad ,,nesmrteľnosťou chrústa“ a zmätene sa snaží prísť na to, kde je a prečo je celá od krvi. Ani sa nenazdá a pridruží sa k nej neznámy muž, ktorý ju bude chcieť zabiť spôsobom vampírom vlastným. Samozrejme nemôžeme nechať hlavnú hrdinku zhynúť hneď v prvom dieli, takže jej na pomoc príde iný vampír, ktorého krása vám vyrazí dych (teda mne rozhodne vyrazila, hlavne neskorších dieloch).
Nasleduje prestrih a ocitáme sa na akademickej pôde The Cross Academy o desať rokov neskôr. Naša hlavná hrdinka sa volá Yuuki Kurosu - je to adoptívna dcéra riaditeľa spomínanej inštitúcie, ktorý je podľa môjho názoru tá najpozitívnejšia postava celého príbehu a svojou naivitou a nefalšovaným humanizmom vás privedie do šialenstva (i keď si myslím, že celá jeho naivita je iba predstieraná a v skutočnosti bude mať v príbehu oveľa vážnejšiu úlohu, ako sa na prvý pohľad môže zdať).
Čo je The Cross Academy? Ide o ambiciózny projekt, ktorý spustil riaditeľ Kurosu, a ktorým chce dokázať, že vampíri a bežní ľudia môžu spolu existovať bez toho, aby sa navzájom vraždili. Snaží sa to dosiahnuť cieleným vzdelávaním tých najvyberanejších vampírov, z tých najvyberanejších vampírskych klanov, ktorých nudí predmetmi ako vampírska morálka.Yuuki je prefektkou v The Day Class (v triede denných študentov, čiže študentov s normálnou dobou vyučovania počas bieleho dňa). Celá The Cross Academy totiž rozdeľuje svojich študentov do dvoch skupín. Do spomínanej The Day Class a samozrejme The Night Class, ktorá je plná vampírov – yummmmi, čo je samozrejme veľké tajomstvo, ktoré neznesie denné svetlo (doslovne), a ktoré má Yuuki chrániť.Vodcom The Nigth Class a bytosťou ktorá sa takmer bez reptania podriaďuje pravidlám The Cross Academy je Kaname Kuran, spomínaný záchranca našej Yuuki. Kaname – senpai, ako ho volá Yuuki (v anime ma ide z toho švihnúť) je tzv. pure-blood vampire, čiže vampír tej najvyššej triedy - vodca celej skupiny nočných študentov, kvôli ktorému ostatní vampíri ostávajú relatívne kľudní a poslušní. V spoločenstve vampírov totiž panuje tvrdá hierarchia, na vrchu ktorej stoja práve pure – blood vampíri.
Našej hrdinnej Yuuki pri jej namáhavej práci prefektky, ktorá pozostáva z toho, že má chrániť denných študentov pred nočnými (i keď to vo väčšine prípadov vyzerá skôr opačne), pomáha Zero Kiriyuu. O nič menej zaujímavý a záhadný typ, ktorý zamieša karty rozhodne veľmi zaujímavým spôsobom. Zero uzatvára trojlístok našich hlavných postav (ak v tom šípite prísľub trojuholníka, tak šípite správne :D) a dráma sa môže začať.Ide skutočne o celkom príjemne namiešaný koktail pozostávajúci zo záhad, rodinných drám, klanových rošád, a samozrejme neodmysliteľnej vampírskej romantiky, ktorá má svoje krvavé zákonitosti.
V súčasnosti máme za sebou dve série tohto amine, ktoré sa vo väčšine pridržali mangy...vo väčšine. Osobne dúfam aj v tretiu sériu, nakoľko manga pokračuje ďalej a nevyzerá, že by sa schystávala do mesiaca končiť...
